Absolutely. Such a great beat. I love that I've seen so many different drummers play it as well throughout the Pedro/Bazan years. But iirc, Dave plays them on the record. I could be wrong tho.
Did you use this on the new album? the new singles (esp DON'T CRY NOW) have a really tight focused kick sound - not as open and ringing as it sounds here... curious if it was dampened a lot with padding or gated in the mix ... or if samples were used to add more attack?
